Thoen
I
spent the last 22 years in the fast pace of the Aviation Industry
working in management, in-flight standards and employee training and
development. The choice to leave came in March 2001. I knew that my next
venture in life would have to include a challenge, the meeting of a
variety of personal and business goals and the opportunity to continue
working with adults in training and development.
I
attended the Self Employment Program with Global Infobrokers Inc. in
2001 to pursue a life long dream of becoming an entrepreneur. Looking at
my personal and business goals, conducting research in areas that I
never new existed and working very hard with the help of Monica and
Brent in developing a viable business plan, placed me on the road to
success.
As
a facilitator with Global Infobrokers Inc. I work directly with fellow
entrepreneurs in the development of the Human Resource side of their
business. The experience I have in employee training and development
from my previous career, the experience from attending the self
employment program, operating my own business in the last year and now
working with other entrepreneurs through the self employment program has
provided the challenge and variety that I was looking for in business.
It has been a very rewarding experience and a dream come true.
This experience has allowed me to observe first hand, the incredible
opportunity that is available in being an entrepreneur. A key motivation
of mine is to continue to work with other entrepreneurs in getting
through the rewarding and challenging times of being self-employed.
In addition to my responsibilities with the Self Employment Program I
continue to work with start-up airlines to develop their cabin safety
department for flight attendants.
My family are very supportive and they are an inspiration for me as
an entrepreneur.
