I have an idea!

And there it is; the start. It always starts as simple as that, an idea. But this is a special idea. It's an idea about an opportunity.

Now opportunities are interesting creatures; they're really good at hiding. With their chameleon like ability to blend in, they can hide right in plain sight, but another interesting fact about opportunities is that they require action to survive. A little action on a regular basis can sustain a really good opportunity almost indefinitely. But not everyone has action they can spare for an opportunity.

Entrepreneurs do, and the interesting thing about entrepreneurs is that they also have the ability to see opportunities. They see opportunities all over the place. And if it happens to be a entrepreneur with this idea about that opportunity, then they often take some of their action and feed it to that opportunity; it's what makes them entrepreneurs.

You see, lots of people have ideas and there are those that occasionally catch a glimpse at an opportunity as well. We hear it all the time. You'll be standing around the office water cooler and you'll hear the phrase, "Someone should really do something about..." and you'll know that someone just had an idea about an opportunity. But you'll also know that that person was probably not an entrepreneur, because what makes an entrepreneur an entrepreneur is the fact that they are willing to also apply action to this opportunity and to accept full responsibility for the outcome of that action. Anyone who starts a sentence with "Someone should..." is neither accepting responsibility nor are they prepared to take action, and often another really good opportunity dies.

That doesn't mean that just because an entrepreneur gives action to an opportunity it will thrive. Not by any stretch of the imagination. The cold hard truth about really good opportunities, particularly business opportunities is that in the western world, almost half the new businesses that start fail within the first two years. One of the main reasons for these failures is that like the majority of people, entrepreneurs are not immune from making very bad business decisions. There is an assumption that just because someone is very skilled in the area that the business is based on, that they are also skilled in the business of that skill, and that just isn't true. As an example, an entrepreneur might be a very good photographer and know just about everything there is to know about the photographic process and still not know enough about the business of photography to make a photographic opportunity thrive. The art of being an entrepreneur in business is just as much a skill set as the art of photography that that business is based around.

That's where we come in, because we too have an idea, and, we have a plan.

Our plan is to give budding entrepreneurs the entrepreneurial business skills they need to make their opportunity skills valuable. We specialize in developing, and delivering educational programs that nurture the entrepreneurial mind set. It is this mind set that leads to individuals that are extremely self-sufficient, excellent problem solvers, big-picture thinkers, creative, outside-the-box, and individuals that simply take responsibility for their opportunities. Towards this goal, one of our most successful and longest running programs has been the Entrepreneurship Program.

The Entrepreneurship program is a comprehensive package that will provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to either launch a new enterprise (opportunity) or to expand an existing enterprise. It is designed to support people whose goal is to not only learn about business, but to actually start and/or operate that business. It is therefore as practical as possible using reality-based activities that enable you to directly apply the knowledge you gain to your own enterprise as you learn it.

This Entrepreneurship Program has been very successful in fostering the long-term success of start-up enterprises. Boasting over 700 start-up businesses that have come directly out of the program, fully 95% of those that finish the training component start their business, and almost 80% of the graduates that start are still operating their business after five (5) years of operation. Our research also indicates that of those graduates that are no longer in their original business, a significant number of them have sold their business and have gone on to foster entirely new enterprises.

We are passionate about entrepreneurship and are committed to providing support for the business start-up. We are constantly researching new and innovative ways to do so. It's what we do.
